Finally got round to loading the pics from my camera onto my computer.  I'm so lazy when it comes to these kinds of things.
I'm going to resize a few of them now and I should be making a post (with pics) tomorrow eve.

Well this post was well worth it, wasn't it? =)

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

1. Handcuffs - Brand New (Jesse Lacey + Vin Accardi = <3 . . . 'nuff said)
2. Be My Baby - We Are Scientists (I love Keith, W.A.S vocals, singing this song)
3. Pateince - Take That (Take That says it all)
4. She Wants To Move - N*E*R*D (This is my dance track - livens up the day at work)
5. Some Will Seek Forgiveness, Others Escape - underOATH (beautiful song)
6. The Hey Man -Emanuel (I love the opening lines)
7. Camisado - Panic! at the Disco (I've fallen in love with Brendon Urie's voice)

Again, I'm not tagging, so if you want to do this, then feel free.

And I've just noticed that I appear to have buggered up my left wrist.  It's really painful.  And I know how too.  I blame ICE.

I hate you.
I hate you.
I hate you.

Oh how I wish I could hate.

How is it you can manage to make me feel guilty, when I have nothing to feel guilty for? Stop using that bloody tone with me. It's not my fault, damn it.

Man, I hate being me sometimes.

New post! And new layout!

So, I've surfaced again.  I've not had much to say on anything of late, hence no posts!  There's a little going on at the moment, but we'll just have to see what it leads to.  Coming events:

So, that's me for the coming week.  But beyond that, who knows.  By the 13th I could be workjing for Ice as an engraver.  Or, I could still be working as an embroiderer at the uniform centre . . . .  And on a completely different note, they're showing the Catalan GP, and after managing to stay on at the start of the race during the horrendous crash, Dani Pedrosa crashed at the very end of the race, and being all of 5'1'' and 7 ½  stone, couldn't pick up his bike!  Now bear in mind, these bikes weigh somewhere round about 148kg.  In comparison, Dani weighs not quite 49kg.  See where the problem is there?  He really did look like a little kid.
But yes, back to business as it were.  That's all that's going on with me at the moment.  If anything else happens, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hope everyone's good.  Mwah!

Counting down to photo post.

Oh, my bad. I've not been on here properly for ages, and I've only just realised I was tagged by Miss [info]i_have_a_spork. And she's in Florida as we speak, so hopefully she'll see this when she gets back.

1. It's Too Late - The Audition
2. Jenny Don't Be Hasty - Paolo Nutini
3. Ready To Fall - Rise Against
4. Don't Hold Back - The Sleeping
5. Sweat The Battle Before The Battle Sweats You - Cute Is What We Aim For
6. She Wants To Be Me - Busted
7. Meet Me At My Funeral - Brigade

I'm not going to tag anyone.  If you wish to do this, go right ahead!

Okay, so erm, not much has been going on.  Lots of thoughts have been bouncing round in my skull, making for a very anti-social Cheryl, so still slowly sifting through them.
Hoping to make a proper post in the very near future, and as I have a little more spare time on my hands, next post = photo post.  You have been warned.

Hope everyone's good tonight.

Found out earlier that Five have reformed as a four piece.  Help me?

Ritchie, Scott, "Abs" and J are back, without Sean, who was the one who originally walked out anyway.  My point is they're back.  I thought we'd seen the last of the when "Abs" solo career collapsed spectacularly.  But no.

The return of Take That was acceptable.  But this? . . . . *shakes head in disbelief*

So, how is everyone?  What have you been up to?

Spork, Cheese, are we doing anything on Friday?

And and and!!!   Mini-excitement!!  I got my Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa posters today.  Woo!  Buy from www.iposters.tv, they're fantastic.  I got a mini Vimto bar and 10% off my next order placed before the end of next month.  Woo!

Tonight, tonight

I discovered:

+Motion City Soundtrack are still awesome as a headlining act
+that Ok Go are still an amazing band (even if they didn't play their cover of "Ant Music")
+that The Matches (again with the "The"!!!) aren't as bad as I thought.  But that single is still too catchy and Busted-like for it's own good.
+I dislike the majority of people that go to gigs in Manchester
+Schmom likes my hair this colour
+I want to kill people who kick me in the back of the knee
+I can't go on like this anymore

Le sigh

Okay, it's late, and I should be in bed but I only got in about half an hour ago.  So firstly, we have this:

And now, for the gig.

They're supporting InMe in October as well so now I have two reasons to go to that tour.  Right, food then bed me thinks.  Got an early start on the morrow.

G'night all.

The perils of work

It's 8.30am-ish and I'm awake.  Wide awake and actually quite restless.  And I have been since about 6.45am.
It would seem that no matter the day, and regardless as to whether I've set my alarm or not, I'm going to be waking up at the same time every day.  And all because of work.

Oh how I envy you people who have the ability to stay asleep.

So, Liverpool around lunch time, Manchester as of early evening I think, so Spork, if you want anything from Primark tomorrow, you had better give me a text some time before 8am tomorrow.

Right, now to go and keep myself busy and entertained until I leave to call for Erin.

Just been thinking about all the gigs I've got coming up, and I think in the next few months, I've got the same number of gigs I went to last year.  Now that's saying something.  So, here we have it:

Gig guide )
It would seem my most extreme are four gigs in nine days next month, and then again in November getting from Farnham to Manchester.  Haha, it's going to be great.

Now I just need to sort another job to start paying for transport.

Just a quick one because I'm sleepy.
My ears are still ringing from the silly embroidery machine.
My throat is still dry and scratchy from said embroidery machine.
Still not heard from Tom-Schmom (surprise, surprise) so may just sleep tomorrow evening instead.
May be going to see Avenged Sevenfold in October.  YAY!  Yet another gig to add to the list of those I need to buy tickets for.

And finally:

Happy 21st Birthday, Kate!

Tired now.  Got to be up ridiculously early for work.  Bah!
Wasn't too bad today.  Busy, and the girl who asked me to re-lace some pumps for her when she hadn't even bought them yet annoyed me, but generally the customers were okay today.  Well, mine were, not so sure about anyone else's.
Not spoken to Tom (Tom - Schmom) about Thursday yet, and I got completely the wrong week for The Grates, haha.  Heard back from Rich from Covergirl so will hopefully have a new EP to listen to and a new band shirt to wear so yay!
Just need to wait to hear back about that radio production course now.

Easy like a Sunday . . . evening

"Jack Black will appear in hit musical Jesus Christ Superstars in a special performance.

Members of the original cast will reunite for the show, which will be staged in Hollywood's Ricardo Montalban Theatre on August 13. Black will take the role of King Herod.

The proceeds of the performance will go to YouTHeatre America, an organisation of which Black was a member." (find the story here)

I thought this may be of particular interest to the Spork.

I'll try and write a proper update later.

Manchester!

So, randomly went up to Manchester last night to go to Satan's with Sarah.  She text me at about 7.30pm to see if I wanted to go and I was there by 10.30pm.
It was a really good night.  Started in Baabar on Canal Street.  A bottle of VHF and a shot for £1.50!  The music was pretty good.  They were playing Good Charlotte - Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous when we got in there, and played We Are Scientists, The Hives, Artic Monkeys, Green Day etc.
Then we moved on to Satans at about 11.30pm.  It was really indie when we got in there, then it got a bit ska and finally they played some Brand New and Taking Back Sunday so it was all good.
Got a little bit drunk again.  Also made a new friend called Scott.
Today, got up after about two and a half hours sleep again because Sarah had to go to work.  So, I mooched in Fopp for a bit, bought Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom to read while I was in there.  Then I wandered round town for a little while and tried to avoid all the people trying to raise money for Scope (only because I don't agree with the fact that the managing director gave himself a pay increase to £100, 000 a year and is in the process of closing all the care homes) then at about midday I met Scott, we mooched round Afflecks for a while, then we went to see Cars.  It wasn't bad.  A little long, and not Pixars best, but had a very sweet ending.  Then Scott walked me back to Picadilly and I came home.
Got a little bit damp coming back after getting off the bus at this end.
Working tomorrow.  Going to bed soon me thinks.

Ignorance is bliss . . . isn't it?

Okay, so I had it out with Tom.  Still trying to sort it all out in my own head.
He was straight with me about his girlfriend.  Finally.  They've been together for one year and seven months, with a three week break earlier this year when he was bored of her (yeah, nice I know) and I'm not the first girl he's cheated on her with.  Though I think I may have been his longest "not relationship".  He said to me that he doesn't have relationships with other people (because of his girlfriend) so it was fairly obvious then, that what prompted the end was me asking if we were actually going out.
Oh, did I mention his girlfriend doesn't actually know about any of this?
Well, he says she doesn't, but from the way he was, posting all those bulletins to her etc, she must've suspected something.  After being together for a year and a half, she must have some idea what he's like.  He's been with her since he was sixteen, he's a teenage boy.  They're so fickle, and so eager to pull whoever and as many people as possible, I'm surprised their relationship has lasted this long.
But yeah, that's all I'm saying on it for the moment as it's still all jumbled in my head, and I'm having trouble making sense of it.
Though I will say this.  It was nice to not feel anything for him when I saw him.  It's just a shame that the Tom I thought I knew, doesn't exist.  Thinking about what was is the upsetting part.  But it'll be explained in due course.

And now, to start moving on.

An . . . interesting read

For those of you who went to Aber, I've just discovered these books while poking round on Amazon:

The Unbearable Lightness of Being in Aberystwyth
Last Tango in Aberystwyth
Aberystwyth Mon Amour

All by Malcolm Pryce.

Hmmmm, interesting.
