Pateince - Take That (Take That says it all)
4. She Wants To Move - N*E*R*D (This is my dance track - livens up the day at work)
5. <lj:music>MotoGP Review of the Season</lj:music>

So, I've surfaced again. I've not had much to say on anything of late, hence no posts! There's a little going on at the moment, but we'll just have to see what it leads to. Coming events:

Monday - Working at the uniform centre. Oh woo. Such a change from the norm.

Tuesday - Going to Ice Ltd in Oxton to see about a job as an engraver. It's part time, working 12.30pm to 5pm working Monday to Thursday. So, I may be making an announcement on a new job soon.

Wednesday - As yet, there's nothing planned. And I mean nothing. Bec? *hint hint*

Thursday - Going down to Farnham to see Erin, and that night going to see We Are Scientists at Brixton Academy.

Friday - Farnham still. May take a trip into London, not sure yet. May be spending the night in the Union as Erin has to work.

Saturday - Mooching in Farnham/London before heading back home sometime late on Saturday afternoon.

Sunday - After what probably won't be much of a lie-in, I'm meeting up with . . . someone <strike>cough*Schmom*cough</strike> and going to Taste of Chaos where I will see Taking Back Sunday (yes, again), underOATH (yay), Alexisonfire, Anti-flag, Senses Fail and Saosin.

So, that's me for the coming week. But beyond that, who knows. By the 13th I could be workjing for Ice as an engraver. Or, I could still be working as an embroiderer at the uniform centre . . . . And on a completely different note, they're showing the Catalan GP, and after managing to stay on at the start of the race during the horrendous crash, Dani Pedrosa crashed at the very end of the race, and being all of 5'1'' and 7 ½ stone, couldn't pick up his bike! Now bear in mind, these bikes weigh somewhere round about 148kg. In comparison, Dani weighs not quite 49kg. See where the problem is there? He really did look like a little kid.
But yes, back to business as it were. That's all that's going on with me at the moment. If anything else happens, I'll be sure to let you know.

Hope everyone's good. Mwah!

Counting down to photo post.

The Scares certainly lived up to their name. The singer seemed like he was doped up to the eyeballs on something, and I'm not sure I want to know what. And at one point, one of them appeared to be giving away their CD, which was. . . odd.
Disco Ensemble were cool, could dance to them and they had a pretty good sound. But as it was exceptionally quiet (there were about fifty people there all told) there was a little too much eye contact with the singer for my liking.
Brigade were wicked! Though i was slightly disappointed that new single Meet Me At My Funeral was the second track they played. Will Simpson (as in Charlie Simpson's big brother) is really sweet. He was constantly thanking the crowd, thanked all of us for turning up and actually sounded pretty good live. Now, here's me with Will, before the gig.

They're supporting InMe in October as well so now I have two reasons to go to that tour. Right, food then bed me thinks. Got an early start on the morrow.

G'night all.

THE AVENGED SEVENFOLD TICKETS HAVE ARRIVED!!! WOOO!

*cough* Ahem. Sorry. Slightly excited. Now, an update.

Tuesday, out with Erin in Liverpool. Bought three new tops <strike>three, three new tops muahahaha</strike>, two eyeliners (one teal and one plum) one pair of tights and plenty of jelly bracelets, and my blue ones glow in UV light!
Tuesday night, out in Satans. Ran into Ryan from the Kray, the one Sarah knows. Talked to the cloakroom guy for ages about Bangor/nothing in particular <strike>and Sarah didn't threaten to kill me for not getting his number, or name for that matter, honest</strike>. And at the end of the night started talking to Phil, who works in Afflecks, but happens to be from Tranmere, went to Wirral Grammar for Boys <strike>oh the lovely braiding!</strike> and is going to the Kray this weekend. He was also very nice and paid for a taxi that the three of us shared back from Satans. So I told him to come over and say "Hi" in the Kray and I'd buy him a drink as it was the least I could do seeing as the generous fool wouldn't accept any money for the taxi as he was "going that way anyway" (his words, not mine).Got back at about midday day on Wednesday, slept for about two hours, got up and got ready to call for Erin at about 5pm so we could go for drinks in Walkabout before going to see The Grates. And they were fabulous! The singer was amazing. She just didn't care. She danced how she wanted to dance, and just looked like she was having such an amazing time.

So now, working tomorrow, out tomorrow night hopefully, but not sure now o_O, sleeping Sunday, chilling on Monday, seeing Brigade Monday night YAY! . . . and speaking of Brigade, saw a Will Simpson <strike>yes, brother of Charlie Simpson</strike>, look-a-like at The Grates gig . . . . and then working Tuesday through to Saturday, so that'll be fun. Probably baby-sitting for Jan on Saturday night, then making a mad dash to Erin's on Sunday to catch her before she goes back to Farnham on Monday. This last month has gone so quickly, it's unbelievable.

Anyways, getting hungry now, so I'm going to go eat. Hope every body is good, and has had a good Friday.

Mwah! x

    <lj:music>Avenged Sevenfold - Strength of the World</lj:music>

Just been thinking about all the gigs I've got coming up, and I think in the next few months, I've got the same number of gigs I went to last year. Now that's saying something. So, here we have it:

August 23rd – The Grates in Liverpool with Erin

September 14th – Victory Invasion Tour 2006 feat. Aiden in Liverpool with Sarah . . . and maybe Schmom

September 16th – Billy Talent in Manchester (if I remember to book my tickets) with Sarah

September 22nd – Motion City Soundtrack in Manchester with Schmom

November 10th – We Are Scientists in London with Erin

November 12th – Taste of Chaos 2006 in Manchester with Schmom or Sarah

November 22nd – Bullet For My Valentine in Manchester with Sarah

December 7th – LostProphets supported by From First To Last in Leeds (when I book it) with Sarah

It would seem my most extreme are four gigs in nine days next month, and then again in November getting from Farnham to Manchester. Haha, it's going to be great.

Now I just need to sort another job to start paying for transport.

<lj:music>No One Goes Home - Break It For My Broken Heart (live)</lj:music>

Okay, so let’s see, what have I done since my last post?

I mooched round Liverpool with Erin on Tuesday, which was cool. We took in a few shops, ate in Eddie’s, got a Frappuccino in Starbucks’, saw the new Quiggins/Grand Central/whatever it’s called, and were spoken to by people from Radio Merseyside. She was just looking for sound bites, asking a lot of people what they thought of the new building. From what I’ve gathered though, it’s not even their permanent new home. And then we finished the day in Bar Cava and Walkabout.
It was work, work, work on Wednesday. Thursday, I had work, and then we went out for Kate’s birthday, which was super fab. Everyone was all dressed up, which was really nice. The hotel itself looked quite posh, for lack of a better word, and the cruise ‘boat’ was actually quite spacious. The food, oh the food! Let’s just say, I wouldn’t object to eating there again. I’m not very fond of goat’s cheese, but the goat’s cheese and thyme croquets really were very nice. And the lemon sorbet! Nicest lemon sorbet I’ve had, and I’ve had a few. Though must say, it was the first time I’d had it between courses. I’m still puzzled as to whether those who had it as a starter would still have had some. The chicken and mushroom fettuccini pasta came served with a side dish of vegetables, as in the kind you find with a Sunday roast, which seemed a little odd, but worked well. The chicken was nice and tender, and there was plenty of flavour to the mushroom sauce. Then came the “sweets from the sweet trolley”. Chocolate mirror cake, with a layer of black cherries at the bottom. I’ve got no idea what a chocolate mirror cake is, other than very chocolate-y and very nice. And we finished the meal with coffee and mints. I didn’t find the mints particularly minty. But maybe that was just me.
Now I’m done with the food! The evening itself was a lot of fun. Only had a vague idea of what we were doing, and were the butt of at least two morgue jokes, but it was all in good humour, and was a good night. I managed to win me a free drink (of wine, which I don’t really drink) for getting a note out of Honest Joe’s horn, and Kate came second overall, winning herself a meal for two at the hotel. Got back at about <st1:time minute="30" hour="23">11.30pm</st1:time>, but didn’t get to bed until about <st1:time minute="0" hour="2">2am</st1:time> because I was so awake.
Worked Friday and Saturday, and today I mooched. Went to Birkenhead to see if TK Maxx there had the T Rex t-shirt I wanted, but they didn’t, le sigh. Had to make the most of the mooch today though , because next week is going to be busy-busy. I’m working Monday to Thursday, off Friday, then working again Saturday. Wednesday night I’m out to see The Grates with Erin at the Barfly, supposed to be seeing Anemic with Tom on Thursday night, but I need to speak to him to find out what’s going on, and Friday I’m shopping with Erin in Liverpool again. We’re going to take a proper look around Quiggins/Grand Central.
Going back to the Casino Cruise for a minute though, I think it’d be nice if we could get together more often to do things, and maybe even get all dressed up. It was a really good night, and we don’t seem to do that much as a group. Okay, so trying to get everyone together is nigh-on impossible, but it would be good if we could have a few more nights out like that.

Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Mwah! x

Not been up to that much since I last posted really. Worked Thursday, mooched and took niece!Becca to Birkenhead on Friday, worked again Saturday, mooched again yesterday and worked again today. Hmmm, I'm seeing a theme here.
Noticed something about most of the people at work. It would seem that if you don't conform to their stereotype of how people should be, while they're nice enough to you, you will not be part of their little group, you will not be involved in their nights out, you will not be asked to join them on their "girlie" holidays, and you will not be asked to join in on weekend activities. Another factor in not being part of their little group however, also appears to be where you live. They all seem to live in the same area. That only really dawned on me today, and I'm not sure what triggered it. While it doesn't bother me what they do in their spare time, because hey, let's face it, I have amazing friends, who are much nicer people. It just irks me somewhat that people seem to base their friendships on such superficial things.
Granted, I may not exactly be the least judgemental person on the planet, but I do try, and I will always give people a chance before writing them off. I guess at times it just still bugs me when people make assumptions about me based on what other people say before they've even met me. Though again, I can't say I've never done it, I can only say I try not too.
And still on a working theme, managed to try and rugby tackle one of the blazer rails before. Not a wise move. Right shoulder and fist connecting with cold metal. My arm still aches now. Though I don't suppose sitting here typing this up is really helping. But there is an upside to all this, if you can call it an upside. I don't appear to have bruised ^_^
Taking niece!Becca to Birkenhead was interesting. She was more excited about the bus ride there, than she was about being able to buy toys/books/games to take away with her on holiday. She can be a stange little child at times. She was fairly hyperactive all the way too Birkenhead, and I'm so glad Jan was meeting us there and giving us a lift back, because there's absolutely no way I could've got on a bus with Becca to take her home again. She was really bouncing off the walls.
In the time I've spent mooching, I've been idly looking into something that Scott suggested to me on Wednesday. I've got to do a bit more research on it, and probably some costing too, and start talking to a few people.I'm not going to say much now because it might not come to anything. If it does, you'll be the first to know.
All this mooching has given me time to think about recent events as well. In recent weeks, I've found that I've been surprising myself more and more by the things I do, or the things I want to do, but don't for certain reasons. If you'd said to me, even six months ago, that come the summer, I'd be thinking this way, I'd probably have laughed in your face. Maybe university has had more of an effect on me than I realised. Maybe certain people have had more of an effect on me than I thought. Maybe it's been a combination of a few things, I don't know. But I'd like to think that these changes are a positive thing. I guess only time will really tell.

    <lj:music>Thursday - We Will Overcome</lj:music>

So, randomly went up to Manchester last night to go to Satan's with Sarah. She text me at about 7.30pm to see if I wanted to go and I was there by 10.30pm.
It was a really good night. Started in Baabar on Canal Street. A bottle of VHF and a shot for £1.50! The music was pretty good. They were playing Good Charlotte - Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous when we got in there, and played We Are Scientists, The Hives, Artic Monkeys, Green Day etc.
Then we moved on to Satans at about 11.30pm. It was really indie when we got in there, then it got a bit ska and finally they played some Brand New and Taking Back Sunday so it was all good.
Got a little bit drunk again. Also made a new friend called Scott.
Today, got up after about two and a half hours sleep again because Sarah had to go to work. So, I mooched in Fopp for a bit, bought Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom to read while I was in there. Then I wandered round town for a little while and tried to avoid all the people trying to raise money for Scope (only because I don't agree with the fact that the managing director gave himself a pay increase to £100, 000 a year and is in the process of closing all the care homes) then at about midday I met Scott, we mooched round Afflecks for a while, then we went to see Cars. It wasn't bad. A little long, and not Pixars best, but had a very sweet ending. Then Scott walked me back to Picadilly and I came home.
Got a little bit damp coming back after getting off the bus at this end.
Working tomorrow. Going to bed soon me thinks.

Okay, so I had it out with Tom. Still trying to sort it all out in my own head.
He was straight with me about his girlfriend. Finally. They've been together for one year and seven months, with a three week break earlier this year when he was bored of her (yeah, nice I know) and I'm not the first girl he's cheated on her with. Though I think I may have been his longest "not relationship". He said to me that he doesn't have relationships with other people (because of his girlfriend) so it was fairly obvious then, that what prompted the end was me asking if we were actually going out.
Oh, did I mention his girlfriend doesn't actually know about any of this?
Well, he says she doesn't, but from the way he was, posting all those bulletins to her etc, she must've suspected something. After being together for a year and a half, she must have some idea what he's like. He's been with her since he was sixteen, he's a teenage boy. They're so fickle, and so eager to pull whoever and as many people as possible, I'm surprised their relationship has lasted this long.
But yeah, that's all I'm saying on it for the moment as it's still all jumbled in my head, and I'm having trouble making sense of it.
Though I will say this. It was nice to not feel anything for him when I saw him. It's just a shame that the Tom I thought I knew, doesn't exist. Thinking about what was is the upsetting part. But it'll be explained in due course.

And now, to start moving on.

Been sitting in alone this afternoon while the 'rents went shopping at ASDA, and niece!Becca was playing up the road with the little <s>brats</s> darlings that she's friends with. Trying to talk to . . . people online, to find that MySpace ahs gone mental. There's a problem with the server and a lot of profiles have been deleted and they're still trying to recover them. Rather them doing that than me. And trying to finish off chapter 13 to that story I started last year. People are still reading, and want more updates. Yikes!

<u1:p>Should be a nice chilled weekend. </u1:p>

So, the Blackpool trip is just getting worse by the minute.
We're getting there for about 2pm, doing nothing until the evening . . . which is going to Funny Girls (yes, the bar with the drag artistes) then out round town, going back to our glorfiied B&B known as The Stratford Hotel, getting up then either going to the Pleasure Beach or doing our own thing (which is my option as I don't go for fairground rides, and I sure as hell am not being bag-lady all day) then going back to 'the hotel' getting ready, going out for the night in fancy dress in no organised theme as Jen kept changing her mind, going to bed, getting up then heading back.
For some reason, that doesn't really seem like my idea of fun. Okay, so Funny Girls sounds cool, but other than that, I'm not really liking it. It sounded great when she first told us about it, but as the planning seems to have gone down the drain since then and everything's fallen apart, it just doesn't seem like it's worth the effort. And it's not like Jen's even one of my closest friends. But at the same time I don't want to disappoint her.

I'm starting to hate Blackpool.

So, I finally heard from Tom again.

"I thought i was in Taking Back Sunday. What days dont you work?"

He's trying to be friendly, by referring to a shared event, but I really think he should have picked something other than Taking Back Sunday. But yeah. In a way I really don't want to see him. But I suppose the sooner I get the first time seeing him again over with, the better. Not sure whether I want to punch him, be sick, or run away and hide when I see him. I guess we'll find out.

As for work, it wasn't too bad today. There were busy periods, and the day went slower than I thought it would. Met Charlie and Laura J. They're okay as they go. Had a few annoying customers, but I know they were only bothering me because I was too warm and tired. Also heard the oddest story; that Carsons and WUC are owned by the same family. That was what a little old dear who works at Carsons said according to one of our customers today.

Currently, I'm watching Jurrasic Park. It reminds me of being 8 and going to see it at the Bromborough Odeon. Got to admit, I love this film. I'll be spending the rest of the evening in front of the TV too. There's Twister, The Lost Boys, 50 Film4 Films to see before you die, qualifying for the Laguna Seca MotoGP, and quite possibly CSI and Law&Order too, so it's going to be a hard choice tonight.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend.!
